When you pick up the pole, the 3 strands align automatically. All it takes is one contact with the ground to lock it and allow you to run with it.
To fold them, simply pinch the two black clips and pull gently on the strands.
An elastic strand attachment keeps the 3 strands folded, allowing you to easily slip them into your quiver, attach them to your trail bag or hold them in your hand.
