The French Federation of Physical Education and Voluntary Gymnastics has been committed to health sports for 25 years. This sport aims to promote the physical, psychological, and social well-being of all audiences. Health sports sessions are collective and friendly, and strengthen social ties.

With 500,000 members, 92% of whom are women, 5,440 clubs, and 7,300 qualified instructors, the FFEPGV is today the leading French federation of non-competitive sports (excluding school federations) and the fifth overall.

FFA – French Athletics Federation “Fitness and Health”

FFA

The FFA offers Athletics, Fitness and Health, a range of activities designed for people seeking pleasure, well-being, and improving their health through sport. This offer includes fitness, physical conditioning, running coaching, and Nordic walking, for which it obtained ministerial delegation in 2009.
The FFA has 1,800 certified Nordic walking coaches who work in 800 FFA clubs.

The French Athletics Federation and the French brand Guidetti joined forces in 2021 with shared ambitions: to support Nordic walking enthusiasts of all fitness levels by offering them high-performance, long-lasting products.

FFR – French Hiking Federation

FFRandonnée

With a very fine network across the territory, the FFRandonnée, created in 1978, is present throughout mainland France and overseas: it is represented by 115 regional and departmental hiking committees, bringing together some 3,500 local hiking associations or clubs. Some 20,000 volunteers help run these committees.

It is delegated by the Ministry of Sports for the practice of hiking and coastal walking, for which it defines the standards, and is a member of the French National Olympic Sports Committee (CNOSF) and the European Hiking Federation (FERP).

FFRS – French Federation of Sports Retirement

FFRS

The FFRS is a multi-sport federation recognized as being of public utility and approved by the Ministry of Sports, whose activities are adapted to those over 50. Created 40 years ago, it has more than 80,000 members, 70% of whom are women, and offers around sixty different sporting activities.

One of its missions is to enable its members to age well and maintain their health.
